Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Retune ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

What Retune does

Retune is a music player for iOS that applies real-time pitch shifting to audio files you provide. It shifts the tuning from the standard A=440 Hz to A=432 Hz (or leaves it at original pitch, at your choice). The App also provides equalization, playlist management, and other playback features.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Apple device you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Your content

You are responsible for the audio files you import into Retune. The App processes files you provide — it does not host, distribute, or store music on our behalf. You must have the legal right to play any audio files you import. We are not responsible for any copyright infringement resulting from your use of the App with files you do not have the right to use.

DRM-protected content

Retune cannot play DRM-protected audio files, including Apple Music streaming tracks. This is a technical limitation imposed by Apple's FairPlay DRM system, not a choice we made. The App works with DRM-free audio files only: iTunes Store purchases (which have been DRM-free since 2009), files from services like Bandcamp, files transferred from your computer, and other unprotected audio formats.

Purchases and pricing

Retune offers a free tier with limited playback (1 minute per track) and a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies.

• The full version unlock is a non-consumable in-app purchase — you pay once and it's yours permanently.
• There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or additional in-app purchases.
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.

No health claims

Retune is a music player that shifts pitch. We do not make any claims about the health benefits, healing properties, or therapeutic effects of listening to music at 432 Hz or any other frequency. Any beliefs about the benefits of alternative tunings are the user's own.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that pitch shifting will be perfectly accurate in all conditions or on all hardware configurations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to circumvent any digital rights management or copy protection mechanisms
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose

Apple's terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Usage Rules set forth therein. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall govern to the extent of the conflict.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. You may terminate your use of the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
